Meta Description for homepage is the definition of your website. e.g ; what do you provide, why this platform important for visitors and bla bla. In order to enable and add Meta Description follow the below tutorial.

1. Go To Blogger Platform and chose your Blog
2. Go to the settings > Search Preferences > Click Edit and Chose "Yes".

It is now enabled and your Homepage Description has been defined. And say Hurrah!! because this enabled the Post Description also which just have to define while writing a Post. It is named as Search Description and right there on right-side of New Post. Have a look on picture below.

This Search Description text will be appeared just below the title when Surfer will search on any Search Engine.
